My reason
How many people out there wish they could be home more? 🙋♀️
How many are tired of feeling like all they do is work, pay bills, sleep, and repeat?
How many of you want to actually LIVE your life instead of just existing in it?
I was one of those people.
Except for me, everything changed when my husband, at only 50 years old, was diagnosed with heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. He eventually had to quit working and file for disability.
Just like that, our two-income household took a HUGE financial hit.
Before we knew it, credit cards were going to collections, bills were piling up, and we came dangerously close to losing our home to foreclosure.
I was terrified, but I knew I had to figure something out.
So, on top of working my full-time job, I started cleaning Airbnbs.
And you know what?
It worked.
I found a few regular properties, made enough extra money to help pull us back from the edge of foreclosure, and eventually we could even go out to eat again without worrying about whether we could afford it.
And Lord knows, I felt incredibly blessed just for THAT. 🙏
But there was still a problem...
I was working my tail off just to survive.
I wasn't getting any more time with my husband.
And after everything we'd been through, TIME suddenly meant a whole lot more to me than it used to.
You see, my husband and I always talked about retirement.
All the places we'd go.All the things we'd do.The life we'd finally get to enjoy together.
But his diagnosis made me realize something:
Why were we waiting until retirement to start living?
None of us are promised tomorrow.
Maybe we'll get all those years together we dreamed about. I pray we do. ❤️
But maybe we won't.
And I didn't want to spend the years we DO have together working myself into the ground just to pay bills.
So I started looking for something I could do online. Something that would allow me to work from anywhere as long as I had internet.
At first, I thought I'd have to go back to school and spend another couple of years getting certified for some kind of tech job.
Then one day, I came across a woman talking about making money online.
Of course I was skeptical. 😂
But I kept watching.
I saw story after story from ordinary women doing it. I saw their results. I saw women creating income without being tied to one location.
And eventually I thought...
Why not me?
So I decided to give it a shot.
And that decision started changing the way I looked at our future.
I'm not chasing some picture-perfect internet life.
I'm chasing FREEDOM.
Freedom to spend more time with my husband.Freedom to travel.Freedom to make memories.Freedom to work from wherever life takes us.Freedom to LIVE instead of simply existing between paychecks.
Because money can be made again.
Time can't.
And I refuse to spend all of mine waiting for "someday."
If you're reading this thinking, Girl...this sounds way too much like my life, then maybe it's time to see what's possible for you too.
